FROM THE NORTH 
  • Approaching Bend from the north or northwest, take Highway 97 south following the parkway toward Klamath Falls.
  • Take the exit on the right for Powers Road Eastbound. Turn right (east) onto Powers Road.
  • Continue on Powers Road until it tees at Parrell Road.
  • Turn right on Parrell, and travel south to the first roundabout, Murphy Road.
  • Turn left on Murphy Road by taking the third exit out of the roundabout, then continue on Murphy to a second roundabout at Country Club Drive.
  • Turn right on Country Club Drive by taking the first exit out of the roundabout. The club is located on the right side of the road across from the fire station. 

FROM THE SOUTH

  • Traveling north on Highway 97 to Bend/Redmond from Sunriver/LaPine, stay on Highway 97 until you reach 97 business/U.S. 20/3rd st. exit.
  • Take slight right onto 97 Business/US 20/3rd St. exit. Travel a short distance north on 3rd St. until you reach a large roundabout at Murphy Road.
  • Turn right (east) onto Murphy Road by immediately exiting the roundabout to the right.
  • Continue traveling east on Murphy Road, passing through a second roundabout. Take the second exit out of the roundabout to stay on Murphy, then continue to a third roundabout at Country Club Drive.
  • Turn right on Country Club Drive by taking the first exit out of the roundabout. The club is located on the right side of the road across from the fire station.

Growing up in southwestern Pennsylvania, Josh then attended Penn State through the PGA Golf Management Program.  Josh's final internship landed him in Central Oregon, where he then spent a full five years.  Josh's career in the golf and club industry also took him to Durango, Colorado where he was the Director of Golf at Glacier Club, and Chico, California where he was the General Manager at Butte Creek Country Club before returning to Bend.  His appreciation for everything the area has to offer, along with a service-oriented mind and vision for the future of Bend Golf Club, makes him excited to work with the membership for years to come.

Diane grew up in San Jose, California and Bend and is a Bend Senior High graduate. She attended University of Oregon and has spent her career as a CPA in public accounting and private industry, most recently working remotely as controller for a real estate company in Portland. She moved back to Bend in 2013. Diane and her husband have two grown daughters and two young corgis to keep them busy. Her favorite pastimes are gardening, camping, quilting, knitting and hiking. She looks forward to learning golf!

Erik grew up in Wisconsin but has called Oregon home since moving to Bend in 2009. He graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management while also completing the Professional Golf Management program and attaining his class A PGA Professional status. His professional career has been spent at the Crosswater Club and The Oregon Golf Club where he worked as the Head Golf Professional. Erik is excited for his new role here Bend Golf Club and is looking forward to working closely with the management team and serving the membership.

Monte grew up in Bozeman, Montana, where he was on his high school's state-championship golf team as well as a 1st Team All-State selection. Monte comes to BGC from Bernardo Heights Country Club in San Diego, where he dedicated 20 years to that fine club. His many accomplishments during that time included an overhaul of the golf shop and a restructuring of the tournament schedule to fit members’ abilities and interests. In 2014, Monte won the San Diego Chapter PGA Match Play championship, and was a captain’s pick for the Century Cup team.  Monte and his wife Jeri have two daughters, Hattie and Harper.​

Freddie grew up in Southern California and started playing golf when she was about 10 years old. When high school rolled around, she became the first female at her school to participate on the boy’s golf team, as there was no girls team at the time.  Over the years, she has worked on a golf course maintenance crew, participated in the Golf Channel Amateur Tour, become USGA rules certified, officiated tournaments, prepared and run events, served on the board of the Pacific Women’s Golf Association, learned the USGA handicapping system and has been certified as an LPGA golf professional.   In addition, she had coached both boys and girls high school golf.  Her husband is now retired after working as a golf course superintendent for 38 years and they relocated to Bend in 2016.

    Margaret oversees the fitness facilities, pool, tennis courts, and organizing many of the social events offered here. Margaret moved to Bend in 1979 from San Diego, California and spent 10 years at the Inn of the 7th Mountain before joining BGC. Margaret’s favorite pastimes are playing tennis, running, hiking, and spending time with her family.

    Scott grew up in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Oregon State University’s Turfgrass Management Program in 1998. His career spans six golf courses throughout Oregon. He is a Class A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Scott was previously the assistant superintendent at BGC from 1999 to 2005, and the superintendent at Broken Top Club for ten years. Scott recently received the Oregon Golf Association’s Superintendent of the Year award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the environment, the game of golf, the community, and the OGA. Scott and his wife Cathi have two daughters, Macy and Harper, who keep them busy with sports and many outdoor activities.

    A native Oregonian, Darrin spent 11 great years at Awbrey Glen Golf Club before joining the BGC family in 2017. His passion and talent for cooking is evident in dishes that blend traditional French techniques with regional twists and local ingredients when possible. He loves educating members on cooking almost as much as he enjoys preparing meals.
