A doglef left off the tee. For straight hitters, a driver may not be required. Favor the left side if you can draw the ball around the trees on the left to center of the fairway. If not, stay straight to the right side of the fairway leaving short to mid iron to slightly elevated green. Any ball hit over the green will be difficult to get up and down.

Hole Description
A difficult par five requiring extreme accuracy. Play safe off the tee with a fairway wood or long iron at the fairway bunker or play the odds with a driver and a fade, to cut off the corner of the dogleg. Again, play a safe second shot to the narrow landing area that opens up to the green, leaving a short iron to the elevated two-tiered green. One of the toughest holes in Central Oregon, and the beginning of a difficult three-hole stretch!

Hole Description
Bend Golf Club's signature hole. A beautiful par three over water that requires good club selection and distance control because of the three-tiered green. Leave the ball too far above the cup and get ready for a treacherous downhill putt, with par being your goal.

Hole Description
Looks simple but plays tough. Play a straight show down the left side of the fairway, your drive will bounce to the right. Second shot is to a round green that slopes severely from back to front. Leave the ball below the hole for a firm putt for birdie.

Hole Description
A short par four. Play your tee shot down the middle of the fairway that narrows and slopes towards an undulating green. A ball hit to the right side of the green will trickle left when it lands, as the green slopes right to left. A good tee shot will offer a reasonable birdie chance.

Hole Description
A challenging par three that has players' tee shots carry down a cliff down to a green protected by bunkers on three sides. Use one less club that the yardage to reach center of the green and pay attention to the wind, as the tee is guarded by trees when you arrive.

Hole Description
A short dogleg left of the tee. Hit a draw around the corner or hit layup with a three wood or hybrid at the bunkers. Hit your second shot to an inviting green for a good scoring opportunity, but stay below the hole.

Hole Description
Take dead aim at the center of the fairway but beware of the hidden lake that looms left of the fairway off the tee. Depending on the tee chosen, leave a shot of 140 to 150 yards to stay safe of the water. If you stay dry short of the lake, your second shot will be a short to mid iron to a narrow and deep green.

Hole Description
A long tee shot to the left side of the fairway will have long hitters going for the narrow green in two. Most players can hit the green with three accurate shots, leaving two putts for par. Be careful to lay up in the middle to right center of the fairway, as big ponderosas frame the entrance to the green as pictured.

Hole Description
A good, straightforward hole to hit a driver with its wide fairway, #10 will allow you to recover from the difficult front nine. If you can keep it straight and avoid the trees on the left and the bunker on the right, you will have a short approach to a large green and a good chance for par.

Hole Description
This short par three is a challenge from the tee. The trees protect from the wind and an aggressive shot can easily turn into a bogey. Middle of the green is the safe play.

Hole Description
A wide fairway has most players hitting a driver down the center, leaving an uphill second shot of between 150 and 200 yards. Beware of large ponderosa pines that run the entire way down the right side of the fairway. If you get caught in the trees, par is a great save.

Hole Description
Play your tee shot to the left of the bunkers protecting the right side of the fairway. If you make a corner, the safe play is a mid to long iron to the mound running across the fairway. Watch out for the pond that is hidden on the left side of the fairway from 100 yards to the green. Stay to the right if going for the green or you may find yourself swimming with the ducks.

Hole Description
A great hole to pull out the driver with its wide fairway but stay left to avoid the two ponds on the right. A well-hit drive will leave you with a short to mid iron to the green tucked back in the trees. Avoid the front left pot bunker at all costs.

Hole Description
A long, picturesque par five. Playing this hole in three solid shots should result in par. Set your aim at the "leaning ponderosa" straight off the tee. A second shot short and left leaves you with the best angle to the two-tiered green. Long hitters may choose a fairway wood to go for the green in two but if you go for it and miss you may find yourself in one of the three bunkers protecting the green.

A fairly straightforward par three, but the green may be the most difficult green to read at Bend Golf Club. The first part of the green runs front to back, so a little short usually is good. With the right club selection, players have a good chance at birdie here.

Hole Description
Aim at the center to right center of the three mounds seen off the tee on this long par four. The hole moves slightly left at the top of the hill. A well-positioned tee shot will leave you a blind, downhill long iron or fairway wood of about 215 yards. Make sure the green is clear before hitting your second shot. Many a player has seen a ball roll past while putting. A par here is equal to a birdie on most par fours.

Hole Description
After #17 you hope to relax to the finish. Think again. The blue or black tees force you to hit a driver or three wood to reach the corner of the slight dogleg left. Set your target at the trees positioned in the right center of the fairway. A well-hit drive will leave you 150 yards to the green. Pull your drive left and you will be challenged to get to the green and get up and down. No bet is safe with this strategic finishing hole.
